Packaging design for a Japanese sake brand

Label and bottle packaging for a small-batch sake producer based in Niigata Prefecture. The design draws on the visual language of Japanese craft production — minimal, unhurried, rooted in material and process. Typography is set in a combination of hand-lettered kanji and a restrained roman face, printed on uncoated stock with a single spot varnish.
